The most important thing to Alex Leong is making sure people have a good time when he plays his music.
— Jake Magee, The Janesville Gazette

Alex Leong has loved and hated the trombone since the age of 10, when it followed him home one day after school.  Since 2010, he has transcribed 140+ trombone solos and established trombone.alex as an entirely fan-supported music library.  Alex currently rolls with the Four Star Brass Band and keeps the dream of the 90’s alive with Don’t Speak: A No Doubt Tribute.

A graduate of Millikin University, Alex has toured internationally and was recognized by the Madison Area Music Awards as a member of The Clyde Stubblefield Band.  He contributed to the success of Musicnotes.com as a sheet music specialist and has served as music librarian, clinician, and guest lecturer.  Alex was a featured performer at the Hiawatha Traditional Music Festival, the City of Chicago Fifth Star Awards, and has performed for First Lady Hillary Clinton, DJ Kool Herc, Taj Mahal, Kurt Elling, STS9, Joe Dart (Vulfpeck), and outfielder George Bell.

In addition to performing, Alex curates content for social media, blog posts, and newsletters in order to promote audience growth through crowdfunding platforms.  He is currently looking for new opportunities to challenge his skills and experience.

Alex is also the son of a magician.

I love Alex, he’s a great man!
