British percussionist and pianist Victor Feldman grew up playing in the family band at London’s Feldman Swing Club, where he learned jazz in the 1940s and toured throughout Europe and British colonies. He went on to tour the United States, playing with Woody Herman, before settling in Los Angeles, California, in the late-1950s to work as a recording studio session musician through the end of his career. In addition to performing, Feldman composed tunes including “Twilight” and the Miles Davis standard “Seven Steps To Heaven,” as well as music for film and television.
